After getting married and having three children I went back to school and graduated from Pittsburg State University with a BS in Education and completed my education certifcation.
I have attended and received certifications from Mid America Nazarene and Baker University.

I started subbing in Iola fall of 1992. I was hired in 1994 to teach Life Science to 7th graders and General Science to 8th graders.
Currently I teach 7th grade Health, Introduction to Agriculture, and Introduction to Family and Consumer Science.
Fresh out of high school I worked at Thompson Poultry, TG&Y, Herff Jones, Haldex Brake and the Sewing Factory.I also taught at Moran for two years before being hired at Iola where my husband worked and our three children attended school.
I teach all the time, that’s my path in life no matter what I am doing.
